TMP can help select indicators, determine metrics and methodologies and then with testing and implementation of monitoring systems.
The most significant challenge in monitoring is ensuring that the people collecting the data are comfortable and confident with the system. Technology and process should be explained carefully so that users feel empowered and then users should be given opportunity to adapt and improve a monitoring approach as they require.
Impact Assessment (4/5): TMP has completed social, environmental and human rights impact assessments in a diverse range of countries and sectors. These assessments have been in the extractives and agricultural sectors with leading clients. TMP staff are also trained as auditors for a number of leading international standards, including the IFC Performance Standards.
Stakeholder Mapping (3/5): TMP has provided technical assistance during stakeholder mapping operations. It has also used the outputs of these processes to design consultations. The company has not conducted large-scale stakeholder mapping independently
